Only 1520 Words

I am only 1520 words into my home study self assessment. Yeah 1520 words about myself. Man, I always took my time when writing papers, this took me over 5 hours... I still have to proof it and maybe add more to my personality traits section. After we finish this Andrea and I have to write one about ourselves. All that writing doesn't floor me as much as someone has to read this- actually many people read this. I have not wrote this much since English 101.

CAS

Christian Adoption Services is facilitating us in our Provincial paperwork. A required item is attendance in a course on international adoption, which we took on Friday with 4 other couples. It was unbelievable, being able to talk with people going through the exact same processes was a God-send. We will definitely keep in contact with some of them. Throughout the day-long class a Chinese toddler, an American Black baby and a brother and sister from Ethiopia came to be 'shown off'. It was great to see the 2 kids from Ethiopia, they have been in Canada for 9-10 months and look amazing! Andrea and I peppered the parents with questions, what a great opportunity. We have our medical checks this week, we just booked them last week. We only had to wait one week for the course we took, I wonder when we will do our waiting.... I probably should not push it.

P 82:3

My wife Andrea and I have taken a step in faith and have started a paper process that will prayerfully end in two young brothers from Ethiopia. We are taking a course this Friday in Calgary on adoption, in addition we had our security checks done today at the RCMP. So yeah, there is the start of it. If you believe in averages then by christmas 2008 we would have two young boys to share it with. It also is entirely possible that we could be a family next summer. Check out the new links in the Sites I Look At in the right hand column.

So keep us in your prayers and thoughts as we swim through bureaucracy and eventual parenthood.

Medium Rare Beefy

This frame is well done thru and thru.

Here are some additional pics- nice blog by the way- you did get that Scott....

The wheels I bought were a pair of New Ksyrium SL's for $565- not bad I thought since I have seen used pairs go higher. It was listed in the triathlon section instead of road biking- might have made difference. I am not sure of the weight- I should go buy a small scale. The seatpost actually feels heavy.

Axiom ti

The search has been called off, the machine has been found. A custom ti Seven Axiom frame. I have wheels on the way, but I still need a drive train. So maybe in September I will have a working bike. Nice eh?
